Holton’s natural light oak tones make way for distinctive knots and a natural swirling grain, creating a classic yet contemporary floor. These nature grade European Oak planks are shadow sawn which involves creating saw marks at random intervals across the width of the board for a subtle reclaimed look. We used 20mm nature grade slow grown European oak for these engineered extra wide and extra-long length planks. Nature grade oak includes a broad range of natural characteristics, such as knots, sap and colour variation. These planks have a burnish hardwax oil finish, which is durable, natural and unrivalled. It combines oils which deeply penetrate the wood’s pores with a hardwax that is polished to a deep patina. Holton is FSC certified so you can buy it knowing that it is sustainably sourced from well managed forests. It can also be used with underfloor heating.
